Clothing!   Lunch!  Haircuts!

Mason Community Services sponsors events we call "Free Market". People are welcome to come and look for clothing, get a hot lunch, and even a haircut when barbers volunteer to come an offer their services. We will post these upcoming events on our Facebook page as well as have flyers at the Freely Given Clothing Closet and on our website.

Our next FREE MARKET EVENT is set for May 13th from 10-2:00 p.m. at 118 W. Oak Street, Suite 103 - tell anyone you know that could use a helping hand!

VITA

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance

Mason Community Services partners with United Way to provide the VITA program right here in Mason!

This wonderful program allows underserved individuals and families to have their taxes prepared at no cost!

We can always use more volunteers to ensure we provide the best experience available. Check out our Volunteer Mason! tab on our website for more information.

Capital Area Diaper Bank

"Bottoms are our top priority!"

Mason Community Services partners with Capital Area Diaper Bank to distribute diapers and diapering supplies to children and families in need and those impacted by disasters and emergencies, as well as incontinence supplies to the handicapped, elderly and others.

BACK TO SCHOOL

Set them up for success

Mason Community Services and Mason's First United Methodist Church members are dedicated to making sure each child is setup for success.

Together, we help provide backpacks, a hot lunch, clothing and haircuts, all the things needed to set the kiddos up right.

This is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community support, we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.

MASON COMMUNITY GARDEN

Grow fresh produce in our very own city garden!

In the summer of 2021, we proudly jumped in to lend  hand to the Mason Community Garden.

Did you know that this community garden donated over 300 pounds of foods to our very own Mason community?

It's a great activity to do with kids, get out in the sunshine or just enjoy the peace found digging in the dirt.

Come join us!

MASON AREA PLANNING NETWORK

It takes a village

We meet on the second Thursday of each month, gathering to eat lunch while having a roundtable update on the needs and resources of our community. With city leaders at the table, as well as businesses, churches, and service organizations, we find needs as well as creative ideas being shared that help us meet our goal of identifying needs and connecting them to available resources.

We would love to have your group represented at the table! Please join us at noon on the second Thursday of each month at Mason First United Methodist Church.

COMING SOON! CENTRAL LOCATION

Reinforcing our Commitment

We dream of a central location to serve the variety of needs that people have with just one stop.

Ideally, such a location could house our food bank, clothing bank, diaper bank, VITA tax services, Meals on Wheels as well as host tutoring, life improvement courses, access to daycare assistance, and much more. All of these services would be coordinated and operated at one site.

Currently, MCS is working hard to identify an affordable location while seeking grant assistance to make it happen.

If you would like to help make this dream come true, contact us!
