ABOUT US
Turning Interest Into Action
Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Mason Community Services emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. Established in 2020, we’re an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support.
In just one short year, we have hosted events, held fundraising drives and raised funds for our upcoming 'location' project. With much more on the horizon our opportunity for impact is endless.
WAYS WE HELP
Meaningful Work. Unforgettable Experiences.

MASON COMMUNITY GARDEN
It's that time of year! Get your plots ASAP!
In the summer of 2021, we proudly jumped in to lend hand to the Mason Community Garden.
Did you know that this community garden donated over 300 lbs of foods to our very own Mason community. It is a great activity to do with kids, get out in the sunshine or just enjoy the peace found digging in the dirt.

FREE MARKET
Clothing The Community
With this initiative, our goal is to provide clothing at no cost to those in need. We currently have a warehouse that houses our clothing closet. At a moments notice we are able to gather and provide for immediate needs. We are always accepting donations of clean & gently used items.

MASON AREA PLANNING NETWORK
It takes a village
on the second Thursday of each month, we gather to eat lunch while having a roundtable update on the needs and resources of the community. With city leaders at the table, as well as the service organizations, we find a lot of good creative idea sharing that meets our goal of identifying needs and connecting them to resources.
We would love to have you and your business represented at the table. Please accept our invitation to join us at noon on the second Thursday of each month at Mason First United Methodist Church.

VITA
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance
We are excited to announce MCS will be partnering with United Way to provide the VITA program to our own Mason Community. This wonderful program will assist those who may need a little help with their taxes this year.
We are currently looking for volunteers to ensure we provide the best experience available.
Positions needed: Preparer, Community Resource Volunteer & Intake Specialist
Training is provided and no special skills are needed before volunteering. Contact Mason Community Services today for more information.

BACK TO SCHOOL
Set them up for success
At Mason Community Services, we are dedicated to making sure each child is setup for success. We provide backpacks, haircuts, and all the things needed to set the kiddos up right. This is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.

COMING SOON! CENTRAL LOCATION
Reinforcing our Commitment
We dream of a central location to serve the variety of needs that people have with just one stop. Ideally, such a location would house food access, a clothing bank, screening for utility assistance, Meals on Wheels, the Diaper Bank, financial counseling, school supplies, access to daycare assistance, employment counseling, and much more, all screened, coordinated and operated at one site. Currently, MCS is working hard to identify an affordable location while seeking grant assistance to make it happen.
